ATELIER DES LUMIERES, first digital art center in Paris
Welcome to the Atelier des lumières, a Digital Art Center located in the old foundry of the 19th century. Opened in 1835, the foundry has been lately transformed into the manufacture of the first plastic materials and managed by the Martin family until its closure in 2000. Several years later, Bruno Monnier, the President of Culturespaces, discovered the former disused foundry in 2013. After creating the Carrières de Lumières art centre in Les Baux-de-Provence, he had the idea of creating a Digital Art Centre in Paris. The Martin family, which was interested in the project, agreed to rent out the great hall and its annexes to him.
After 4 years of renovation works, Atelier des lumières has opened its door to the public with 3 first opening exhibitions: “Gustav Klimt”, “Hundertwasser” and “POETIC_AI”. Be among the first ones to discover this magic place!
