Maison Francis Kurkdjian, for heartfelt gifts
The perfumer Francis Kurkdjian is one of the world’s most sought-after noses. As discreet as his fragrances, the perfumes he has designed for major houses such Burberry, Jean Paul Gaultier and Nina Ricci, are globally recognised from the first notes. Today he continues what he began in 2001, when he established his own bespoke fragrances atelier on the rue d'Alger, as he has just opened a new outlet on the rue des Blancs Manteaux in the Marais. This genius of scent was just 25 when he created Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier, which became one of the world’s most popular fragrances. Since then he has been honoured as a Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters. He views the world of scents as more than just perfume, however, imagining ‘24 hours of perfumed life’ and creating an olfactory selection that includes scented candles, shower gels, body creams and even detergents. His Aqua Universalis body care products offer a great gift choice. JR.
