The Art of Blue Sky Studios at the Musée Art Ludique
The Art Ludique Museum presents the world premiere of more than 800 works from the animated movies that have made Blue Sky Studios a global success story. If the name of the American animation company is not familiar to you, its creations certainly will be. The Peanuts Movie, Robots, Epic, Horton Hears a Who, Rio and, of course, the Ice Age series are adored worldwide. In The Art of Blue Sky Studios the production of the films is revealed through preparatory sketches, clay figures, large coloured drawings and storyboards. Designed in collaboration with the studio’s artists and filmmakers, this exhibition reveals the birth and evolution of much-loved characters such as Scrat, the blundering and acorn-obsessed squirrel, whose upcoming solo short film is eagerly anticipated. Last but not least, and before its theatrical release this summer, the production drawings and paintings used in the making of the latest 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios offering, Ice Age: Collision Course, will be presented to the public for the first time at this unmissable exhibition.
