The Broken Arm, a fashionable café
Cement floor tiles, vintage blue Formica tables, retro countertops, a La Marzocco coffee machine which seems to have a life of its own, local and international baristas, and all around the room there’s Carven or Raf Simons, art books and design objects, trendiness and quirkiness. Welcome to The Broken Arm, the café department of the famed concept store and a part of the neighbourhood that needs no introduction to the regulars. People come here to enjoy an apple-parsley-fennel juice, sip a soup or enjoy one of the establishment’s many fine offerings: toasted focaccia, creamed chicken with tarragon, comté 18 mois and marinated cucumber. And for dessert, we love one of their many assorted homemade creations selected with taste and carefully arranged by the Des Jeunes Gens Modernes collective. It’s all quite irresistible, cool and original. People come here and they come back...for everything! JR.
