The gardens of the Cognacq-Jay Museum
The charm of the 18th century is enchantingly preserved in the picturesque gardens of the Musée Cognacq-Jay. There in the courtyard of this Paris residence, where the Enlightenment took a firm grip, you can find a majestic French garden that will transport you back in time to an age of elegance. Within the walls of the Hotel de Donon, built in 1575, can be found the vast collection of Ernest Cognacq, the founder of the Samaritaine department store. Also, the garden (accessible from 9 rue Payenne) is a treasure in its own right to be admired and enjoyed amidst the other alluring attractions of the Marais. JR.
At 8 minutes by walk from the Hotel Fabric.
