Vivian Maier : The Color Work
Vivian Maier is an exceptional phenome in the world of photography. For those who do not know her yet: Vivian Maier has photographed more than 150,000 images of architecture and people of New York, Chicago and Los Angeles between 60s and 80s (in black and white and in color) without never showing them to anyone. The negatives were found and developed in 2009 after the death of Maier and have immediately made her known worldwide. After making several black and white exhibitions, the artistic world pays tribute to her color photographs with a new exhibition “The Color Work”. In Paris we can find it in the Les Douches la Galerie 15 minutes’ walking distance from Hotel Fabric. The installation "The Color Work" highlights clichés of American life between late 50s and the mid-70s. The color work of Vivian Maier is full of treasures, picturesque views and interesting characters.
