The new Café de l'Homme in the Palais de Chaillot
An historic address in the Place du Trocadero, designed by the architects Léon Azéma, Jacques Carlu and Louis-Hippolyte Boileau for the Universal Exhibition of 1937, the Café de l’Homme still bears witness to a timeless charm. This has, however, been given a makeover, albeit in an entirely appropriate Art Deco style, by the talented interior design couple, Gilles & Boissier. In the kitchen, the chef Frédéric Vardon reinterprets the culinary identity of the restaurant with original variations on the season and gives pride of place to French produce. Refreshed petits pois, crab meat, cream cheese with herbs, grilled lamb chops with thyme sauce, punnet strawberries served with crème fraîche d’Isigny. It’s a feast which can be enjoyed even more in fine weather, when the terrace beckons you to enjoy the superb view of the Eiffel Tower.
At 30 minutes from the Hotel Fabric by metro, line 9.
