Baltard au Louvre; happiness is on the terrace

Categories : Eating, published on : 6/13/18

Twenty tables placed in a charming little shady place with an unobstructed view of the majestic Church of Saint Eustache and the Jardins de la Canopée; this is the idyllic setting of the restaurant Baltard au Louvre, a Parisian neo-brasserie installed in the former Pavillon Baltard, where great cuisine and family meals are on the menu. Here you can enjoy the balmy air of sunny days while savouring dishes concocted by the talented young Flemish chef Ewout Vranckx, who has previously performed his gastronomic magic with seasonal vegetables and cereals at the Plaza Athéné and Le Meurice. At this moment, the menu offers raw langoustines, rice water with lemongrass, crisp Saint Flour lentils, green asparagus from Provence, creamy avocado, and yuzu vinaigrette. For delicious moments that can be enjoyed just like a family meal in the country, with the kids playing on the nearby lawn.
