La Perle, the most fashionable Parisian terrace

Categories : Eating, published on : 5/11/17

This is one of the most popular terraces to be found anywhere in the Marais, whether or not there’s a ray of sunshine. With its zinc counter, bevelled mirrors, high stools and small tables topped in formica, this Parisian bistro, which in just a few years became ‘the place to be’, has never lost its distinctly fashionable cache. But what is less known is that this trendy hangout offers lunch during the week with seasonal ingredients prepared by the chef Christophe Rousseau, previously of the Ritz and L'Arpège. These flavour combinations change with the weather, which ensures a menu that is always packed with fresh and organic offerings. At the moment, the slate boasts baked whole salmon and fine carrot purée with ginger, semi-cooked tuna with vegetables flavoured with oil infused with citrus, a parmesan risotto and mushrooms and côté douceur, the traditional cream caramel. The real pearl of La Perle? A bottle of the great Ruinart house Champagne so you can enjoy some bubbles with your fresh and flavoursome food.
