Lily of the Valley, the tea room is the new café

Categories : Eating, Drinking, published on : 7/14/17

A trend has been brewing since Lily of the Valley opened last autumn and tearooms have begun growing like mushrooms throughout Paris. However, it must be said that Pauline, the effervescent creator of this extraordinary, intimate and welcoming establishment, has truly set the standard. Plants and flowers spread across the ceiling, creating a hanging garden. There’s floral fabrics, mirrors, a tiled floor and whitewashed stone walls, and the ‘English touch’ is infused with a new modernity. It has a distinct, vibrant and charming personality and there’s something to suit all tastes. You can buy tea to take home, or as a take away, or enjoy your choice served in pretty cups amidst this lovely setting, accompanied by a slice of cheesecake, a scone, granola or crumble. It’s all home-made, of course, and irresistibly delicious! A 10-minute walk from the Hotel Fabric 12 rue Dupetit-Thouars, Paris 3rd Tel. 01 57 40 82 80 Open Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 19:00, and from 11:00 to 19:00 on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
