The Chardenoux; at the table of the great Parisian classics
Categories : Eating, published on : 11/17/16
When the Michelin starred chef Cyril Lignac was looking for a distinctively Parisian location in which to work his culinary magic, he pushed open the door of this historical monument and authentic bistro that was founded in 1908 by the Chardenoux family and realised he had found what he sought. Since then, this restaurant has become ever more the talk of the neighbourhood. Amidst the hushed conversations and gentle clinking of glasses you can enjoy the chef’s great Parisian classics such as organic soft egg cooked with mild spices and croutons, Aubrac beef tartare with homemade French fries and, of course, the rum syrup sponge cake with whipped cream. A friendly place with that extra bit of soul and generosity that gives it added charm.
