Back to school, the perfect excuse to redecorate: our favourite décor addresses nearby

September rolls in, and with it that familiar urge to start afresh, habits, projects, and sometimes even your living room. After a summer spent travelling or simply slowing down, the new term is often the trigger to rethink your interior. And the neighbourhood around Hôtel Fabric, between the Marais and the 11th arrondissement, is full of addresses for exactly that.

Belle Lurette

For fifteen years, around ten dealers and restorers have shared this 250 m² former workshop, offering second-hand furniture somewhere between classic and vintage. A sharp selection of found objects and contemporary pieces, part unapologetic vintage, part current design. The kind of place you pop into just to look, and leave with a lamp you never planned on buying.

5 Rue du Marché Popincourt, 75011 Paris

Lusa Luso

Founded in 2016 by Sandra Da Costa Blanc, this shop celebrates Portuguese craftsmanship through handmade pieces — wool, cotton, ceramic, wood — refreshed each season. Tableware, textiles, and accessories: authentic, long-lasting objects, designed to build, season after season, a collection all of your own.

20 rue de la Folie-Méricourt, 75011 Paris

Maison Devallez

Founded by Camille Devallez, who spent years in hospitality and events before turning to tableware and interior design. Her shop, conceived as a "house of happiness", offers a coherent selection of objects somewhere between rustic authenticity and elegant simplicity — bamboo, recycled glass, linen — for a warm atmosphere without a single false note. The perfect spot to rethink an entire room rather than just add one more object.

9 Rue Oberkampf, 75011 Paris, France

Merci

A neighbourhood institution, a must for anyone who loves browsing furniture, stationery, fashion and fine food under the glass roof. You can lose an hour in there without even noticing.

111 Bd Beaumarchais, 75003 Paris

Les Possibles Shop

A shop-workshop devoted to handmade, small-batch pieces, ceramics, textiles, and one-off objects. Sourced in Algeria, Morocco and Portugal, each piece is chosen individually for its noble materials and timeless character, with no catalogue and no seasonal logic. Every object tells a story of craftsmanship and invites a more mindful, worldly approach to decorating.
